What is Pure E-Z Puréez!What is Pure E-Z Puréez? Pure E-Z Puréez became a company when I began feeding infants. I have been a licensed daycare provider for over 3 years and found that the infant food selection was sorely lacking. Like many, I found the best route was to make my own baby food. Having spent 12 years in the restaurant industry, it was a no brainer, I love to cook! I got carried away, introducing fruits and vegetables not seen down the baby food aisle like cauliflower and watermelon but still an important part of a baby’s diet. It was and is a pretty easy process: Wash the fruit or vegetable, peel it (if necessary), steam it (also if necessary) in an electric steamer, purée with blender and then freeze. But who has the time? Or the gumption to cut up spaghetti squash, purée it and freeze it?What would you do with 16 servings of spaghetti squash? Unless you have an extra freezer, it would be very difficult to have more than a few varieties of purées on hand, not to mention the 36 fruit and vegetable purées I offer. What would you do with a purée? Good question. You might not have an infant in the house so why continue to read? Well, if you are like most parents, a typical meal eaten by your child probably contains macaroni and cheese. Do they ever get sick of it? Do you ever feel good serving it? Well, now you can! Pure E-Z Puréez can be added to your mac & cheese (or even replace the butter in a box of Kraft) and no one is the wiser. Even if they do know (which I suggest telling them), they don’t care. You may remember from the food pyramid that we are supposed to get 5 servings of fruits and vegetables in our daily intake. Is your child getting that in a day?
